Progress notes from the workshop and the whiteboard — engineering, enterprise and events, posted roughly every one to two weeks as we build toward the NSW State Finals.
Myra has spent the past few weeks deep in outreach — proposals out, follow-ups chased, tier packages walked through with a handful of local businesses. A couple of those conversations are close to the finish line, so expect fresh logos to land in the Sponsors section soon.
Ran a Zooper Dooper stall at recess to help fund Mark V manufacturing, and the queue barely let up all break. Great turnout from the school community, and a solid top-up for the materials budget.
Moved past static posts with our first proper video — a behind-the-scenes look at the crew that turned out to be some of our best engagement yet. More video content to come alongside the usual photo updates.
Posted a countdown graphic marking the days left until State Finals, right alongside the Veronica mark. Small post, but it's already doing its job of keeping the team — and our followers — focused on the deadline.
Kept up the posting rhythm with our second piece of content, building slowly but steadily on the follower base from launch week.
Our very first post — introducing @teamveronica3000 to the world, with the reactor-blue Veronica mark front and centre. Follow along for build progress, events and sponsor news as we head toward State Finals.
The final CAD file went to Mr Davino for CAM conversion, and our balsa block has been milled on the school's Denford Compact 1000 Pro. Sanding is in progress at 80, 240 and 1000 grit — sealing, painting and decals are next on the list.
After CFD showed heavy rear-end turbulence on Mark III, we hollowed the underbody to 1mm from the virtual cargo limit, redesigned the sidepod channel to exhaust air horizontally instead of down, and added strakes plus new airfoil tether guides. This is our final design going into manufacturing.
We ran reaction-time testing across the whole crew using Human Benchmark and the F1 Start Timer to find who should launch the car on race day. Sidd's results were the most consistent, occasionally dipping under 150ms, so he's officially our starter — and he's now training daily to sharpen it further.
Spent the day at Blacktown working with Future Anything on a smart-city solution for urban heat. Not car-related, but a great stress test for our teamwork under time pressure — and it sharpened exactly the communication skills we lean on inside Team Veronica.
Our sponsorship structure is finalised and open for partners. Ruby starts at $150, Titanium adds uniform placement and monthly reporting, and Gold puts a partner's brand on the car itself. Outreach starts this week — get in touch if your business wants in early.
